Head Men's Lacrosse Coach

About College of the Holy Cross:

College of the Holy Cross is a private institution that was founded in 1843 by the Society of Jesus (Jesuits) in Worcester, Massachusetts. With an enrollment of about 3,100 men and women from across the United States and abroad, offering academic concentrations in some 26 fields within a physical plant unmatched for its beauty and sophistication, the College of the Holy Cross stands as one of the finest undergraduate, liberal arts colleges in our nation. Faithful to its Jesuit tradition and character, religion in both scholarship and practice plays an important part in the curriculum and daily life of the College. With an agreed upon mission to educate men and women for others, Holy Cross students are urged to measure their personal successes in life by what they have done to better the lives of others, especially those less fortunate than themselves.

As a liberal arts college, Holy Cross pursues excellence in teaching, learning, and research. All who share its life are challenged to be open to new ideas, to be patient with ambiguity and uncertainty, to combine a passion for truth with respect for the views of others. Informed by the presence of diverse interpretations of the human experience, Holy Cross seeks to build a community marked by freedom, mutual respect, and civility. Because the search for meaning and value is at the heart of the intellectual life, critical examination of fundamental religious and philosophical questions is integral to liberal arts education. Dialogue about these questions among people from diverse academic disciplines and religious traditions requires everyone to acknowledge and respect differences. Dialogue also requires us to remain open to that sense of the whole which calls us to transcend ourselves and challenges us to seek that which might constitute our common humanity. Holy Cross Athletics

Holy Cross enjoys a long and rich history in intercollegiate athletics. Athletic success has been achieved without compromising academic standards or goals. Student-athletes at Holy Cross are representative of the general student population at the College. The holistic development of every student-athlete remains the primary concern of the College and of the Department of Athletics. Educational experiences in the classroom are complemented by those in athletics, which promote discipline, teamwork, leadership, and good sportsmanship. Ultimately all these programs and support are seen as a means of developing the total person: intellectually, emotionally, spiritually, socially, and physically. Holy Cross student-athletes live out the call to be "men and women for and with others" in places near and far.

The success of the athletics program is measured by its alignment with the mission of the College, defined in the College's mission statement. Integrating the goals of the College with the mandates established by the NCAA, Patriot League, IRA, Hockey East and Atlantic Hockey, the Department of Athletics recognizes a dual commitment to serve both the student-athletes and the College.
