Softball Head Coach

Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics, a Division 1 and Big Ten Conference Institution is seeking a Head Coach for Softball. The University seeks a dynamic and experienced leader with a strong commitment to NCAA Division I-A athletics, integrity, compliance, character, diversity, and the academic and athletic experience of the student-athlete.

Responsible for maintaining and strengthening a nationally competitive softball program by presenting a clear vision and strategy to compete for B1G and NCAA Championships. Candidate must engage in the personal, academic and athletic development of student-athletes and is responsible for the program's strict compliance with University, Big Ten Conference, and NCAA regulations. Coaching experience at the collegiate level is required. Commitment to comply fully with the mission statements of the University and Department, including Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics vision to prepare students for a lifetime of impact. Proven organizational, evaluation, administrative, and communication skills; a demonstrated ability to work well under pressure; and knowledge of NCAA regulations are required.

This job will be filled as a level 3, or level 4, depending upon the successful candidate's competencies, education, and experience. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus six years of related experience for a level 3. Additional experience and/or education and competencies are required for higher level jobs. This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as part of your job responsibilities. A valid driver's license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to three publicly available background checks.
