ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES




  • Manage Athletic Facilities, to include:

    • Game Day Management Coordinator for some athletic events throughout the academic year

    • Assist the Sport Information Director in game day operations

    • Schedule athletic games, practices, events, and rentals in 25Live

    • Schedule game day student workers

    • Oversee setup and take down of some rental events

    • Communicate as needed with physical plant and housekeeping for appropriate upkeep





  • Hire, train, schedule, and supervise student staff for athletic department buildings and events, to include:

    • Approve twice monthly student payroll for Walker Field House, game day and athletic training room

    • Oversee student worker FrontRush data entry for department



  • Manage Walker Field House memberships and locker rentals

  • Prepare and maintain records of non-conference home game contracts

  • Oversee laundry and concession rooms including purchasing and maintaining inventory of supplies

  • Maintain office supply inventory including awards plaques

  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail

  • Contribute to other areas of interest in Athletic Department that may include, but not limited to:

    • Creative Content Specialist

    • Inclusive Excellence

    • Recruiting and Retention

    • Sports Information

    • Strength and Conditioning

    • Student-Athlete Success



  • All other duties as assigned


REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS




  • This position reports to the Athletic Director

  • This position supervises up to 50 student workers


REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND KEY COMPETENCIES

  • Computer skills and knowledge of relevant software such as Microsoft Office, Google, Google apps

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment with a variety of individuals and programs

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to work with a diverse group of individuals and members of the public

  • Demonstrated excellence in organization skills and professionalism


MINIMUM EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION




  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 1-2 years experience working in an office/administrative setting

  • 1-2 years experience working with Microsoft Office and/or Google apps


PREFERRED EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION




  • Graduate Degree

  • Experience working or interning in a collegiate athletic department

  • Familiarity with recruiting software, i.e. Front Rush

  • Knowledge of collegiate athletics administration including game management and sports information

  • Supervisory experience


WORKING CONDITIONS/EQUIPMENT

Must perform the following essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations:




  • Requires the ability to work evenings and weekends for athletic events and departmental activities

  • Must be able to work on a computer for extended periods of time.

  • Ability to lift at least 35 lbs. on an occasional basis

  • Ability to travel in/out state required


ADDITIONAL INFORMATION




  • This is a .75 FTE, non-exempt position

  • Target start date of July 15, 2021 with position ending June 30, 2023
