POSITION: Director-Sports Information

Responsibilities: The Director-Sports Information serves as the institutional representative to the media for all athletic activities, including the reporting on athletic events, teams and student-athletes. Will write original press releases and maintain a historical record of students and teams to be used by both the print and broadcast media during and after sporting events. Will serve as the primary liaison between the College Athletic Department and the news media, as well as serving as the primary communications agent for Bobcat Athletics. Will oversee the webpage, athletic social media outlets, and assist in coordinating game-day operations for all 13 varsity and five junior-varsity sports. Will also serve as the primary historian, statistician, and archivist for the department. This position is exempt with regard to FLSA overtime. This position is covered by the NSCPA negotiated agreement



Requirements: Bachelor's degree in English, Communications or a related field is required, Master's degree preferred. Must possess strong interpersonal, communication and writing skills and strong attention to detail. Must be able to manage multiple projects and determine best strategies to complete projects in a timely fashion. Valid driver's license is required as well as frequent evening/weekend work.
