Feature Content Specialist and On-Air Talent

JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics, a Division I and Big Ten Conference member, is seeking a highly qualified candidate to fill the position of Feature Content Specialist and On-Air Talent. This position reports to the Assistant Athletic Director for Media and Video Production.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Developing digital content, which includes written, video and audio (podcast), for GoPSUsports.com and social media platforms for the enhancement and exposure of Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics, its 31 teams and 850 student-athletes

Assisting with content creation through written and video coverage of the football team (on and off the field), coordinating interviews with student-athletes and coaching staff members, and traveling to all football games

Creating feature content for GoPSUsports.com as well as selected Athletics' specialty publications

Supervising several students who provide feature content for GoPSUsports.com

This position requires considerable initiative, creativity and independence. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus four years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor's degree in journalism, public relations or broadcast journalism is preferred. Proficiency in recording and editing audio/video using Premiere, Spark, Photoshop, StreamYard, Zoom Meeting/Webinars with an understanding of Facebook Creative Studio, YouTube Studio, Twitch and other streaming and social platform's creative studios is preferred. Excellent communication, attention to detail, and organizational skills are a requirement.

This position requires the following clearances: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check. This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. A valid driver's license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required.
