Effective immediately - (PT) Head Coach – Women's Basketball - Wilmington University, New Castle.

Requirements: A Bachelor's Degree in a related field of study is required. A Master's Degree is preferred. Must have sufficient experience at the university/college level to successfully perform the job. The incumbent must have a demonstrated knowledge of NCAA Division II rules. A commitment to the academic and athletic development of students is required, as well as a commitment to the mission of Wilmington University. Must be computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office products. Must represent the University in a professional manner at all times as well as have the ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality in any situation.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Teach the sport of basketball to student-athletes individually and as a team at the NCAA Division II varsity level. Overall management of an NCAA Division II varsity women's basketball team. Recruitment and retention of academically and athletically-qualified student-athletes. Provide instruction of team members including the planning, organizing, and implementation of practice and competition-event sessions. Be knowledgeable of and work within the Wilmington University and NCAA Division II missions. Understand and work with commitment towards creating an environment supportive of Title IX. Insure education of student-athletes regarding compliance with NCAA conference rules and regulations. Oversee the academic progress of all student-athletes and provide guidance for how to access student support services when necessary. Must take and pass the NCAA Recruiting exam annually and be knowledgeable of NCAA rules. Must abide by all University, CACC and NCAA Division II rules, including NCAA Bylaw 10.1, Ethical Conduct. Must understand and work within the Wilmington University mission. Insure a safe environment for the student-athletes. Perform other duties which may be assigned by the Director of Athletics and/or VP of Administrative and Legal Affairs.

Hours of Employment: Monday – Sunday. The incumbent must be flexible enough with their work schedule to perform all of the functions of this position.
