Sr. Associate Athletic Director, Student-Athlete Performance Health and Welfare

Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics, an NCAA Division I and Big Ten Conference Institution, is seeking a Sr. Associate Athletic Director, Student-Athlete Performance Health and Welfare. This senior member of the Vice President of Intercollegiate Athletics leadership team will serve as one of the primary advisors to the Vice President of the Department, with responsibility for multiple internal operations.

This position reports directly to the Vice President of Intercollegiate Athletics and is responsible for the following:

Providing leadership, fostering collaboration, and pursuing synergies among sports medicine, performance nutrition, performance psychology, applied health and performance science, performance enhancement and student-athlete welfare and development
Executing the department's diversity and inclusion efforts
Serving as a liaison to Penn State Health and several other University offices
Acting as a Sport Administrator for assigned sport(s)
Other duties as assigned by the Vice President of Intercollegiate Athletics

This position must uphold a commitment to comply fully with the mission of the University and Department, including Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics' vision to prepare students for a lifetime of impact. Additionally, the successful candidate must display excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a demonstrated commitment to integrity, inclusion, and diversity and an understanding and commitment to student-athlete well-being.

Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree or higher (Master's degree preferred) plus twelve years of experience preferably at the NCAA Division I level, as well as demonstrated executive leadership and experience in student athlete performance health and welfare.

This position requires the following clearances in addition to applicable background checks: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check.
